Short Bio
Award-winning artist Allan Linder brings 25 years of expertise to the canvas, with a background in film, character design, and animation.
Statement
As an artist, I'm always looking for ways to bridge the gap between the digital and physical worlds. My work is an exploration of shared culture, using texture and color to create a language that invites the viewer to participate. I take a multi-layered approach to a wide range of subjects, deconstructing recognizable forms and shifting meaning to create a sense of multifaceted interpretation.
I'm particularly interested in digital portraiture and cityscapes, using new fractal design tools to imagine the human condition in the future. As we increasingly enter the virtual realm, it's important to have a representation of ourselves as individuals. That's why I'm drawn to the idea of the Supreme Mind as a physical avatar, and why I've been working to capture the essence of human portraits as futuristic digital avatars. It's a new direction for my art, and a way to bridge the divide between the real and the unreal.
Biography
As a seasoned, award-winning artist with over three decades of experience, Allan Linder knows how to create captivating works that speak to the viewer. His diverse range of mediums and subjects keeps his art fresh and exciting, and his recent painting "Getting There" made waves when its accompanying NFT went viral.
But Linder's career is no flash in the pan. He has exhibited all around the world, from the Lockwood-Matthews Mansion Museum in Connecticut to galleries in Brazil, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy. His art has also graced the walls of private collections both at home and abroad and is a permanent fixture in the Elmira Museum of Art in New York and the Rochester Contemporary Art Center.
And Linder isn't slowing down anytime soon. In the coming years, he'll be exhibiting at the NFT.NYC event in 2023, as well as the Swiss Art Fair in Zürich and the CICA Art Museum in Seoul, South Korea. His love of experimentation is clear in his recent collection "Walking in the Rain," which merges traditional art with digital paint and is printed as a giclée on canvas. With a career as multifaceted as Allan Linder's, there's always something new and exciting around the corner.
